November Tasting

Let's drink naked!  Novembers tasting will be all Naked Wines from Naked Winery in Hood River, Oregon.  Check out their link at:  Naked Winery.  Also, Chef Donnie Wuerl will be back to bring his wonderful foods to compliment the wines.  This is going to be a fun event for all!!!!

Get off the beaten path

Ok, we all have our favorites, Cab, Chardonnay, Merlot, Riesling etc, and don't get me wrong, I love them too, sometimes all in one night....ok, not really, well....nevermind about that!  It's time to try a new grape, to step out and experiment.  Portugal is making some great wines these days with grapes you probably have never heard of.  I have been carrying them in my store for some time now and folks that try them have really enjoyed their aromas and flavors.  Grapes such as Touriga Nacional, Alfrocheiro or Touriga Francesa.  Ever try a Xarel-lo from Spain, it's a wonderful refreshing white wine.  Come on in to The Cellar and ask me for a new grape!

Tastings

Hey folks, the tastings this summer have been too much fun and informative.  We have tasted some great wines and had a lot of laughs.  Here are some photos from our tasting with Executive Chef Donnie Wuerl who raised the level with his outstanding food!  We even had Jane Garvey as a special guest, a great night all around!!!! Our November tasting is scheduled for November 5th and is going to be really fun, trust me on this one.  You may want to bring a date!  Details to follow in my email.  Thanks to everyone!
